I invented PrintCost

intro

I like to code little web apps (as you probably know). In the past, I have coded Minify and some other little cool thingamabobs.

what I have been doing yesterday

So yesterday (and today) I am staying home from school because I am sick:(. But since I have to spend the whole day coughing in my bed, that doesn't mean I can't code.

what I've made

I coded PrintCost, the world's first AI 3d printing material cost estimator.

how it works

In case you are a nerd like me, and you want to know how it works. Basicly you upload an stl file or the dimensions of what you are 3d printing, and then the website sends that info over to chatgpt and ChatGPT will give back a response to the website, which will then tell you how much money (in filament) that will cost you. Now, before you enter what you're printing, you have to add a filament spool to your gallery. The gallery just has what filament you put in it that you will select when you are getting an estimate, so that the AI knows how much you bought the filament for(so it can give you an accurate estimate.

it's free, go try it out

Just click here or add printcost. before the webpage you are on right now and then delete the slash (/blog/i-ivented...).

side notes

If you need any help email the PrintCost staff(me) at printcost@hudsonsnedcof.space. Also the stl feature only works with like really small files for now but I'm working on that.

ok thats it like the post or whatever
