why is it hard to buy a keyboard
intro
So recently I bought the AULA f75 pro, now this was my first ever mechanical keyboard. I shortly realized I LOVE mechanical keyboards (hm hm brands hit me up hello@hudsonsnedcof.space). So I decided I wanted another mechanical keyboard.
so I went to Best Buy
When we first got there at the front of the store where they ask you “are you looking for anything particular today” and me at least always says “no I’m just looking” but this time I told them a mechanical keyboard, they are actually really helpful:).
when I got to the keyboard section
So it turns out there are multiple keyboards sections, there is the Higround display and across from that there is the Keychron section and then a little bit down the store there is the Glorious section. We started at the Higround section. So there is the Higround basecamp 65% and 75% on display and you can type on it and stuff so that is what I did I typed on the Higround basecamp and I loved it. It sounded great.
then we went to the Glorious section
They have the GMMK 3 on display which on the display is a GREAT keyboard so we looked at that and I once again loved that too.
so with a lot of back and fourth we bought the Keychron something something something
We brought it to the car and opened at and… yeah it sucks. Everything about it feels cheap.
returning it
We were right outside the store so we ran in returned and and bought the Glorious GMMK3.
then we went to the car
I opened it loved it and we drove home.
then…
I realized that I liked the Higround basecamp. But then I like that one better.
so
We placed a Best Buy pickup order and got the Higround basecamp 75%.
right now
We are driving home from dinner with the Higround.
what we are going to do
I am going to test out both for a few days and then probably return one.
